Bugs Be Gone Essential Oil Insect Spray

  • 16 ounces of water
  • 6 drops of lavender oil
  • 4 drops of peppermint oil
  • 4 drops of lemon oil

*Shake well before each use. Spray. Enjoy!

Do you know I use a similar aromatherapy spray when I’m outside? I also sell a similar version with my holistic company. It never fails when I go outside the tiny little bugaboos are not too far behind eagerly sampling my tender skin, lol.

In order to make myself less appealing to them I make this simple holistic remedy. If I’m going to be out in the sun for a long time I’ll make sure the carrier I use is oil based. I’ve found that perspiring can wash away the spray also.

Towards the end of last week, my daughter developed a stye. Although I had never seen one, in person, I knew what it was.

A stye (also called sty or stie) occurs when the oil glands around the eyelid get infected and inflamed. A stye usually takes anywhere from a few days to a week to rupture. If the stye isn’t responding to treatments it may require medical attention.

What Causes A Stye?
